If you are having financial problems, Debt Settlement may be the solution.

Creditors don’t want you to file bankruptcy, and will reduce your debt in order to recover a portion of the debt, rather than nothing. This practice is known as Debt Settlement.

The debt must be unsecured. Unsecured debt includes credit card debt, personal loans, medical bills, small business debt, and many other debts that are not secured by property. Examples of secured debts would be auto loans, home loans, taxes, etc. As long as the debt is not secured by property, it is generally considered unsecured.

Upon entering our program, you will be expected to save money each month in your own bank account to accumulate the funds necessary to pay the settlements on your accounts. Since payments are based on the amount of your debt, and your financial situation, your payment will be affordable.

While you are saving the money to pay your settlements, we will be working with your creditors to work out settlement agreements. As settlements are reached, you will have the opportunity to approve each one before it is finalized. Once you have enough saved in your account, you will start paying your settlements one by one until they are paid off.  

Debt Settlement programs will have a negative impact on your credit report, so if you can afford to pay your debts on time, then this program may not be for you. An exception would be that you can only make minimum payments. If you only make minimum payments, you may be in debt with high interest credit cards for years to come, costing you tens of thousands in interest charges. Having a good payment history, but being in a situation where you cannot afford to live or use your credit, may not be the best thing for you.
